Yield: about 3 cups hummus
Ingredients: 2 cans Chickpeas, 3 cloves garlic, 2 inch nub of turmeric, 2 small lemons, 4 Tbsp Pourable Tahini, pinch salt, pinch cumin, 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 1 tsp sesame seeds
1. Peel 3 cloves garlic and 1 inch nub of fresh turmeric and put in a bowl with the juice of two small lemons and soak while preparing the rest
2. Open and drain two cans organic chickpeas
3. Put in Blender or Food processor the chickpeas, the garlic,turmeric and lemon juice and 4Tbsp pourable tahini paste plus a pinch of salt and 1/4 tsp cumin and blend
Add a couple Tbsp olive oil as its blending to make it smooth and creamy
4. Top with evoo, ½ tsp grated turmeric and sesame seeds (mine also has dukkah and sumac so get creative!)
